Black Mountain Productions is a video production company based out of Colorado. Black Mountain is a mountain in Pike National Forest and was home to the last grizzly bear to live in Colorado.
The first logo utilizes topographic lines approximated from the actual mountain. A fun and unique way to incorporate a mountain into a logo.
The second is a reference to the last grizzly bear, with the silhouette of the mountain framed within him.
The third logo is a combination of the actual mountain silhouette and a film cell.

The Campus Lounge has been a Denver stable for nearly 50 years. After passing through several concepts, the current owners, all Denver locals, wanted to take it back to it’s roots.
A cozy, family friendly bar and restaurant, The Campus Lounge has a retro camping aesthetic. Whether its cocktails served in thermos’ or the large canoe hanging from the ceiling, the restaurant takes the iconic landmark into modern times.

A branding/style guide project I did for an imaginary new product.
Vitae is a brand new type of.....ice! Its different from other ice in that it contains probiotics and vitamins, making it even healthier than regular ice. Use it pre or post workout, or maybe throw some in your water bottle before work or school and have a healthy drink to sip on all day. It comes in a variety of citrus and other fruit flavors.
Color Palette: A uniquely warm palette considering the product but I believe the uniqueness to be a strength to the brand identity. Number one, the orange stands out! Its bright and attention grabbing and helps differentiate from plain old ice. Orange also has the benefit of being an appetite stimulant and is often associated with a the fruit, a tasty, citrusy, healthy food. The raspberry and grape purple compliments the orange to add a lighthearted feel to the brand, while still providing a natural, healthy, fruit connotation.
Typeface: I feel Merriweather was a great fit for the Vitae brand. The humanist features help with the identity of a natural and healthy product. The high x-height helps with readability in digital formats. Merriweather is also incredibly versatile, having both Serif and Sans-Serif options, in a variety of weights and styles.
Logo Mockups: The snowflake logo was made using a custom letter 'V' shape, repeated around a central point to create a fun pattern. I made the custom lettered 'V' with a brush tip pen and then vectorized it in Illustrator. I kept humanist features in mind when first drawing it out. I then italicized the letter and added a swish at the end to help give it some motion and direction, which I think compliments the active and healthy brand identity well.
A collection of Denver street map posters. During the early iterations of the poster, I couldn’t decide which variation to pursue. So I pursued all 3 (Bauhaus, Colorado Flag, Abstract Flag). Plus a bonus Broncos Country version.
Inspired by Charlie Marie’s YouTube video. A fun and unique way to express the hometown pride.
‘Trudge The Road’ is a multimedia art production so I decided to take a more artistic approach with this logo.
A triangle can represent or symbolize many things and this logo utilizes this idea. Literally, the triangles here represent mountains and a road. Symbolically, strength and sturdiness.
The 3 incomplete triangles overlap to form a whole, framing the paper crane, a symbol of peace and healing during arduous times.

3 logo options I made for a fictional brewery called ‘Purebred.’
Purebred is an upscale, pet friendly local brewery with traditional beer recipes and charitable canine outreach programs.
A collection of print and digital ads made for The Campus Lounge and Hodsons Bar & Grill.
Prompted by the Daily UI challenge, here is a collection of various UI mockups.
The first 4 images make up a desktop landing page I designed for a popular bar and restaurant in Denver named ‘Recess’. I Imagine the site being one continuous page. The background image changes to match the hover over of each section (Eat, Drink, Play). When clicked, the user would be directed to that part of the page.
Next up is a Mobile login screen. A straightforward but more fun, vibrant and modern approach to a mobile sign up page for either an app or site.
Lastly is a credit card check out. I wanted a simple, easy to use and versatile. This UI could be scaled for either desktop or mobile and easily branded to fit the client.
Digital medical forms concept for doctors offices. The framework was already in place, I went through and redesigned/rebranded the system for usability and flexibility.

'Spiral Out' digital art collection. Inspired by the band Tool's song and album, Lateralus.
The song uses the spiral as a metaphor for personal growth and healing. It encourages you to ‘Spiral out….Keep Going’.
The artists use the Fibonacci sequence in a number of unique and creative ways throughout the song. The original idea was to mirror that, creating a spiral within shapes whose number of sides reflect the sequence (3, 5, 8, 13). Fun fact, a 13 sided polygon is called a tri-decagon. Another fun fact, there isn’t a single curved line in any of these drawings. The spiral is an illusion!
But as you may have noticed, there was only 4 peices of art, and 4 isnt apart of the sequence. So for the 5th version I decided to do the seven sided star, or heptagram, that the band has displayed at their shows.
The heptagram has many symbolic meanings across cultures and religions. But my favorite, and inspiration for the band using it as there symbol, is a symbol of creation. Some Native Americans tribe believe that being able to create a 7-sided star means you are one with God in creating the universe.
Some of my custom hand lettering designs. I start off with a basic idea using a brush pen, fine tune with a pencil, then scan and vectorize.
A collection of digital Animal Origami works.
The cat is a symbol of independence. It also has the benefit of being the internets favorite type of animal, and to this day, this peice remains one of the most popular things I posted on Instagram.
The dragon is a symbol of power and wisdom.
The bull is a symbol of strength and leadership.
The unicorn and the double cat hears are just for fun!
First business card is designed by me for personal use and freelance work.
Second card was actually done for a client, but the information has been changed to mine. The idea behind this card was to create a ‘unique, mysterious and subtle way’ of showcasing the clients Event DJ business.
Some of the first albums to be slapped with a ‘Parental Advisory’ label were hip hop artists in the early 90s rapping about…police brutality and racial injustice. A lot of artists were worried that the label was a form of censorship. But in reality, the label boosted sales because people were curious of the ‘explicit content’ within and helped their art become more mainstream. Do what you will with these images. Make signs, posters, stickers, whatever. If a ‘tipper sticker’ can boost their message, maybe this can help do the same.
